Victor J. Andrew High School offers a handful of competitive sports with two types of teams:
1) Unified Teams-- Non-Special Education students play on the same team as students on IEPs.
Unified sports: Soccer, Basketball and Track
2) Traditional Teams-- All athletes on the teams are Special Education students on IEPs.
Traditional Sports: Bowling, Bocce, Basketball and Track.
Special Olympics strives to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. All the while, building relationships, learning new skills, and having fun!
