Carl Sandburg High School Athletic Hall of Fame

    Criteria: 

    • Athlete
      • Shall be eligible for consideration 10 years after graduation from high school.  This will allow for character checks and professional career development.
      • All athletes who earned a varsity letter during their high school career
      • Superior accomplishments as a student-athlete at Carl Sandburg High School
      • Achieved significant athletic accomplishments in post-high school career.
    • Coach
      • Shall be eligible upon retirement from active teaching / coaching
      • Must have at least 10 years of coaching service in the district - could be waived for special circumstances
      • Head Coaches of state championship teams will be considered
    • Athletic Department Contributor
      • Shall be eligible after at least 10 years of service to the district - could be waived for special circumstances
      • Body of work and impact on the athletic program will be evaluated
      • Donors making significant financial contributions are considered
