Performing Arts Clubs seek to increase awareness and to discover the many talents among Carl Sandburg High School's student body and share their aptitudes in music, dance, and theater. These clubs then in turn nurture, develop and showcase these creative talents.

The Chamber Singers is our advanced co-curricular group at Sandburg. Acceptance into this group is by audition only, and all participants must be enrolled in one of the curricular music programs at Sandburg. During first semester, this ensemble performs almost solely as a caroling group. The Marching Band supports the school, football team and community through excellence in a variety if music and marching styles. Camps run Monday through Friday from 3:00-9:00pm. The marching band season runs until the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The school year schedule is 3-4 days a week after school, including Tuesday or Wednesday night rehearsals in the stadium from 6:00-9:00pm

Orchesis is a performing arts troupe that performs throughout the year in various settings. Dance styles vary from ballet to jazz, hip-hip and modern to tap.
