The SAT and SAT Subject Tests are designed to assess academic readiness for colleges. The SAT is a globally recognized college admissions test, and the SAT Subject Tests can complement or enhance college admission credentials. The state of Illinois has recently adopted the SAT as their required College Readiness Exam for all junior students. All students will complete this graduation requirement by taking the SAT during the school day in the Spring of their junior year. More info.
Advanced Placement (AP) Testing
-
Offered in May of each school year, AP tests are designed for students who are taking AP courses during the year. Advanced Placement tests are typically taken during sophomore, junior and senior years by students enrolled in these courses. More info.
PSAT Testing
-
Offered in October of each year, junior students will take this test as a preliminary SAT. Juniors can use their results on this test to participate in the National Merit Scholarship Competition, a competition that involves the top 1% of scorers in the nation. More info.
